EAC Oatridge and Newbattle Horror Disco

Yesterday we had the pleasure of Hosting the first and now last EAC Oatridge and Newbattle Abbey disco. The crypt was all dressed up and so were the staff and kids.

Face painting and crazy dancing was encouraged and the students of both centres mingled and got to know one and another.

Newbattle was almost a perfect place to host the disco for its old world architecture and columns. The Crypt is almost 900 years old and is apparently haunted making it ideal for the halloween horror disco.

Currently at University studying Sports and Exercise Science. He has just entered his 4th year. He plays lacrosse 6 days a week and constantly throws the ball around the office causing small amounts of panic. Hockey is also favoured but not as much as jumping round corners and generally scaring people. The megaphone infrequently leaves his side as he organises things from afar. Joined by Dan and a great activity team, Marc enjoys being AM at here at Newbattle.

FEEL PART OF THE NEWBATTLE EXPERIENCE

Fright Night

Fright Night at Newbattle was long awaited by the Staff and Pupils. The staff dressed up while students hunted for a murderer around the college. The students began with a hunt through gunge for creepy crawlies, they then had to find "The Dr of Death" to answer questions, finally they had to reach the monk and get the clues. There were a lot of screams and jumps in the blacked out college especially with the ghost wandering the corridors. It finished at 11 with Ghost Stories in the Chapel and prizes for completing the murder mystery.
